ChickTech is a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging more girls and women to pursue technology related careers through hands-on events.

Our program kick-off event will host high school girls from the Raleigh/Durham area in a free-to-participate event. Each participant will attend one of the many technology related workshops and leave with a take-home item from the workshop. After kick-off, the girls may choose to participate in any (or all) of the next several monthly workshops.

We suggest you nominate students who:

  • Have not participated in a computer science course, technology project, or camp before due to lack of interest and/or financial resources
  • Have never participated in any technology programs before, but would benefit from exposure to hands-on activities, mentoring opportunities and career exposure
  • Typically would not consider a tech career
  • Display an above-average aptitude for math or science, along with a creativity and willingness to learn new things
  • Will be in 9th-12th grade as of November 2020
  • Any child who identifies as a girl and we also welcome trans youth of any gender, gender fluid youth, and non-binary youth

Thank you for taking the time to nominate a student for the program!
PLEASE NOTE: NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN FOR THE KICKOFF EVENT.

Due to current COVID situation all the events are being held virtually at national level. Please proceed to the below link to nominate a student:
